The lives of those who perished in the Westray Mine Disaster are commemorated by this
large memorial outside New Glasgow N.S. Designed and manufactured by Heritage Memorials,
the rays from the miners lamp hold the name of each man who died. The memorial is the site
for annual services for the families and community.
